Disco queen and legend Donna Summer died yesterday, 17th May 2012, in Florida after a battle with lung cancer, at aged 63, TMZ reported. Over her career, she won five Grammys and was nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. She was also the first female artist with four No. 1 singles in a 13-month period, according to the Rock Hall of Fame, where she was a nominee this year. It was reported she was working on a new album at the time of her death.
According to TMZ, the singer was convinced that inhaling toxic air after 9/11 gave her the lung cancer that eventually killed her. Click here to read more.
