10 best red carpet (shoe) looks from Cannes 2015

Whether you’re in it for the awards themselves or for the red carpet glamour, it’s hard to stay away from the Cannes buzz these days. We were especially interested in the red carpet footwear, even though it’s usually obscured by floor-length gowns. These were some of our favorite looks from the festival:

Joan Smalls Cannes 2015

While dresses are more customary on the red carpet, Joan Small’s two piece caught our eye. The Alaia design allowed us a peek at the nude shoes from the same brand, which featured floral details and back zippers.

Noémie Lenoir Cannes 2015

Noémie Lenoir showed off her baby bump in a beautiful, loose yellow dress by Chloe, which she paired with blue sandals by Jimmy Choo. The primary colors are great together, and Noémie looked glowing.

Lea Seydoux Cannes 2015

Lea Seydoux arrived at the photocall for “Lobster” in a little black dress with vertical stripes from Prada. Instead of pairing it with black heels, the French actress surprised us with a gorgeous pink pair (also by Prada), with silver straps and a retro heel.

Julianne Moore Cannes 2015

Julianne Moore rocked an asymmetrical burgundy gown from Givenchy, featuring velvet and crocodile, which she paired with matching platform sandals from the same label, and lipstick in that very same shade.

Zoe Kravitz Cannes 2015

Zoe Kravitz’s look was one of the highlights of the opening ceremony of the festival. She wore a white Valentino couture gown with an open back and just slight sheernees in the skirt.

Eva Herziegova Cannes 2015

Eva Herziegova is a silver queen in this sequined number from Dior, which she paired with silver heels from the same fashion house, a white purse and Chopard jewelry. We love the demure high neck and long sleeves contrasting with all the sparkle.

Diane Kruger Cannes 2015

To show her latest film, “Disorder”, Diane Kruger paired a blue mini dress from Dolce&Gabbana with nude sandals by Jimmy Choo. Completely wearable, and so, so chic.

Cate Blanchett Cannes 2015

Cate Blanchett had a lot of great outfits prepared for Cannes, but we especially liked this rock’n’roll one she picked to promote her new movie, “Carol”. The little black dress, jacket and stilettos are all Alexander McQueen.

Naomi Watts Cannes 2015

Chris Sparling can’t take his eyes off of Naomi Watts in her stunning Armani Prive gown. The ruffled, gray number was paired with the simplest black strappy sandals, and long sparkly earrings.

Chanel Iman Cannes 2015

Chanel Iman wore one of the most beautiful dresses we’ve ever seen, a Zuhair Murad couture design with a plunging neckline and lots of tulle. It’s so beautiful, we don’t even care that it covers the shoes completely.

Lupita Nyong'o Cannes 2015

We’ve seen Lupita Nyong’o in many great dresses, but this time she’s outdone herself. The Gucci gown was a show-stopper, and the actress managed to point to all its best angles on the red carpet. She accessorized with green satin platforms from the same Italian fashion house.

Anyone you think we missed from Cannes?
